so i go in to get my hair cut a little bit ago, and i bring in this picture of a pretty simple looking haircut.
the lady tells me that she doesnt really know how to do that and that i would be better off going to natalie, this younger hairdresser who is better at cutting hair for younger people.
i mean, thats cool and all, it's good that she didnt just chop my hair to bits and leave me with a boy haircut, but it's kind of weird that she had no idea how to do a simple haircut.
since when do hairdressers not know how to cut hair?

I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago, but the woman proceeded to hack off my hair. It's weird, but trust me, it was better for you to go to the younger stylist. I pretty much refuse to let anyone under 30 touch my hair now. Plus, older stylists tend to my hair (at least mine) and big and fluffy, with tons of hairspray, so that's a major reason I avoid older stylists too.

Have you ever seen Tabitha's Salon Takeover? Turns out a lot of hairdressers have no idea what they're doing haha

she probably went to school and got her certificate well before the millenium, when trends were drastically different. therefore, in the beginning and middle of her career up to this point, she never really got around to figuring out new haircuts and stuff.

the newer girl prolly got into school when this scene tripe was coming into vogue.
